Sometimes, I get tired. To be completely honest with y’all, I was at that point last night. The hard reality is that, by taking a stand and putting my views out there, I’m going to shut the door on a lot of opportunities. After all, no one is going to give the “Christian Leadership Award” to someone who doesn’t ever attend chapel.

There are times that I wonder if it’s even worth it. I mean, through the centuries, it seems that a lot of lines have been blurred and spaces that were once “black” and “white” have been muddled together to make the New Testament appear overwhelmingly grey.

We, as Christians, have a responsibility to figure out what we believe in why, and “because that’s how we do it” isn’t a good enough reason. I’m super guilty of this myself because I feel like what’s scriptural and traditional have become so intertwined that’s it’s hard even to differentiate the two anymore.
